 The New Rug Green and yellow, Patched and stained, A simple pattern, Don't ask me why it's new. All yucky colored, In a joyful room, All dark, Brightens the room, Why is it new? Tattered, torn, awful colored, Green and yellow in a joyful room, Patched, dark and stained, a simple, brightening pattern. I would ask you why is it new? Yet we bought it. It is new to our house.
