Space It takes 18 minutes to get into space those are some of the longest. After detaching the rockets and fuel tanks they are are floating weightlessness in the endless black ocean of stars. Here are some of the things they do living in the Space Shuttle.

The most important thing in space besides the suits is food. At first food was something you squeezed out of a tooth paste tube. Now you can mostly eat what the natural form on earth. There is no refrigeration in space. The astronauts eat three meals a day just like on earth. Eating in space can be fun too. Since there is no gravity you can throw it and it will just float around but have to be careful because it can't hit buttons or bump anything. Even adults play with their food.

Working in space is pretty easy. can just throw your tools across the space shuttle and someone can catch it.When they work in space the mostly work at the space station. They also launch satellites and fix broken satellites. They use big arms that come out of the space shuttle to do those jobs.

Sleeping in space is so much different from sleeping on earth. when you sleep in space you are either strapped to the floor or walls of the Space Shuttle. It is like a big sleeping bag.It is pretty funny when there arms come out when they are sleeping they are floating above their heads. Where the sleeping quarters are is a very tinny space. It is in the end of where they eat and work out.

Being on the Space Shuttle can be difficult because you miss your family but also fun because you can float around like you have always dreamed of when you were a kid. When the astronauts return they sigh a sigh of relief on a successful mission and I bet they can't wait to smell the fresh air of earth.
