LA Story
The whistling wind whips through my hair, my legs, on fire, pedaling to catch my brother. He's fast as lightning and I feel slower than a turtle. He swipes corner to corner. On a sharp turn I didn't make it, falling rapidly to the ground. A wave of pain electrocutes my body as I hit the cold, hard, gravel floor. Closing my eyes tight I fell nothing but pain and see nothing but my dark lonely eyelids. I open one eye slowly and cautiously, then the other. My bikes front wheel is still spinning from the crash I just took. The rest of the bike weighing heavily on my body. Turning myself around I check for any signs of injury's. One bleeding leg and a couple of skid marks on my hands. The pain still piling in I push the bike off my body and get up, my whole body sore. I check my knee, the blood gushing out and the small grains of sand and rock stuck clearly states that I need a Band-Aid. I whip my hands on my worn out jeans and tug my bike off the ground. I get on it cautiously and right home slowly just glad nothings broken.
