Photo Challenge!
I love to travel and take photos; I think that photography is a great creative outlet. How many places have you visited in the United States?
In one of my previous articles you can see the states that I have visited. For this challenge see if you can name each state and location. Try to be specific. Hint...I may have used some states more than once. The photos are in number order; see if you can guess all ten places!
Whoever guesses the most correctly will earn three group points. Post your response as a comment. If you are not in one of my classes (class password is herricks)....you will earn my respect...plus it’s fun so give it a try!
1)You wouldn't want to be sent here.

4)A curvy street.
5)One of the first national parks.
6)Named after part of a volcano (well it actually is a part of one!)

9)It's name starts with Mt. :P

these are some pretty pictures! I agree that the whole picture taking is a way to create art. It’s very pretty. I know that one of those pictures is of a geyser, but that's about it.

I love your pics they are so cool I like the one with the water coming out of it looks like a little hole well they are all cool also the one of the big redish rocks it is so peaceful

I've been a ClassBlogmeister user for years, but never have used the assignment feature. Our Grade 5 blog received a comment from one of your students participating in the Communication Challenge. I love the idea. Do you mind if I copy that idea and assign it over our Winter Break? If you don't mind, could you please tell me how to actually make an assignment. I can't seem to find the right place.

Nice blog, Mr. Ullrich. Now that I think of it, I've been inspired to make my own challenge: "Guess The Planet You're Looking At" challenge, since we're learning astronomy.
P.S.It's going to be on my blog, so please let everyone know about the challenge.

Wow, you've traveled a lot! I don't know any except for 2 is old faithful and 10 is arches national park. I just wanted to point out to you that your title is misspelled. :) this is a great blog!!

Picture #1 - Alcatraz Island San Francisco Bay
Picture #2- A Beehive Geyser found in the corner of Wyoming along the borders of Montana and Idaho-- found in Yellowstone National Park.
Picture # 4- the curvy street is called Lombard Street in San Francisco, California
Picture #5- one of the first national parks was the Yosemite National Park in California
Picture #6 this is a picture in Crater Lake National Park in Oregon
Picture #7- a beach in California
Picture#8- the Grand Canyon in Arizona
Picture#9- A mountain in Alaska or Nevada ??????
Picture #10- This picture takes place in the Arches National Park in Utah--called: Double O Rock

Ok . I think I know most of them. plus I said one in class. Ok, the first one is washington, the second is Old Faith National Park,Wyoming. the third one is the Rockies. the fourth one is San Francsico,California. the fith one is Yellowstone. The sixth is Crater lake. The seventh is in California. The eighth is the Grand Canyon. The 9th is Shasta. The 10th is window rock, Arizona. I hope I got these right!!!
