Room 26 and Room 10 have been doing buddy creating and buddy writing. This week they created a creature which they published. Their creature had to have interesting features and skills. They began their Comic Life publishing on the computer adding article boxes, a heading and speech bubbles for the creature to make a comment. Next week they will be uploading their photos. Great creativeness, Room 10 and Room 26!
Hi Ainslie, Carolyn Petrocelli here...the fourth grade teacher from Jamestown, RI. We are all enjoying communicating with you all. I showed my class some slides I took while traveling to your beautiful country. That was some time ago (mid 90's and way back in the 80's as well). Hope to return some day soon. Have you been to the States?

Today we had our class of 20 email your class. We made sure to comment on everyone's page, but Jessica had no articles so we couldnt' leave a comment. We did try to hit every one, but if we missed someone, let us know - that lucky person may get 20 comments!
Mrs. Petrocelli is the class teacher and she has been to Rotorua, and is going to show slides she took of her visit there. So they're off to New Zealand!

That's great! We look forward to it! Enjoy your vacation and we'll pick it up from there. If you want to contact me you can use my school email, email@example.com and i'd love to have yours. One of our staff lived in NZ for many years so I can ask her about time differences. She said it was a point of pride for her kids not to wear shoes to school and wonders if it is still the same. Again, enjoy your well deserved break and we'll talk again in October.

Lorraine told me about your blog. I had my students comment to some of your students so have them check their comments! I have blogmeister for my middle school and blogger for 4th grade but I may be changing that soon. In the meanwhile, if your kids would like to see our blog it's http://goingfourth.blogspot.com. You can't identify individual students on blogger which is why I want to switch, but I know my students will be so jazzed to see a reply from NZ. They would love to do a project with you. Too bad we couldn't skype! But I can put videos of my class on - I will wait till I get my fourth grade blogmeister page ready.
Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you,
