 New Zealand Lake Taupo is the volcano and it is a lake too. The Waikato River is the longest river. Dairy farmers buy cows to make milk products like butter, cheese and things like that. Meat farms kill beefies for meat. Sheep farms shave sheep for wool and sell it and they make clothes and people buy clothes to stay warm. Rugby is a sport that you have to tackle and in tackle you get hurt. Did you know we have lots of native birds in New Zealand? Did you know the kiwi and kakapo can’t fly? But they didn’t have to because there were not rats and pests. But now there are rats. The capital city is Wellington. The biggest city is Auckland, one million people. Although New Zealand is a small country it has a lot of variety with its plants, birds, landscape and people.
