 The Phantom Coach I was walking when I became very, very lost. Suddenly it began to snow heavily. I knew I could not last the night in this storm in the open. My feet were numb, drowsy and sleepy, torpid and sluggish. I saw light in the distance it was a castle like house. I was given food, water and shelter the man in the house was very strange. He told me a story about something that happened three years that same night. The mail coach had been driving in a terrible snow storm. He described it as a hundred years storm and going thought it was suicide. Down the cliff he fell he was stymied then he languished to death. The weather seemed better so I decided to set off again. The owner told me I will meet the mail coach if I set off now and walked past the cliff and crossroad it will take a hour. I felt very frightened and scared. The snow became heavy my feet felt like freezing water coming from all directions. My steps went slower and slower and I was surprised when the mail coach came behind me. I asked if I could have a lift and they nodded. I climbed inside although it was dark I could see three mean inside I tried to talk with them but none will talk the men looked like robbers. I realised what was wrong with the men and the two drivers terrified. I tried to get out by banging and kicking the door. I heard horrible screaming then I realised I was bleeding I looked down I was falling down a cliff 3000 metres high it felt like I was sky diving. I was screaming for my life I passed out about 20 metres above the ground I woke up in bed two days later at first I didn’t realised where I was and how I got there until mum came through the door I was found exactly where the mail coach was found three years earlier nothing else was found.
