Characteristics of a Bridge

Bridges are like staples.

They connect pieces of paper as

bridges connect land.

Bridges are like skyscrapers.

They reach high into the sky

like bridges, impressive structures that

amaze the human eye.

Bridges are like an odor.

They are strong and have the ability to

hold thousands of pounds.

Bridges are like a good friend.

They are reliable and trustworthy. People trust

that they are safe when crossing it.

Bridges are like sandpaper.

Some are bumpy and rough and some are

fine and smooth.

Bridges are like hope.

It is always there, ready and alert,

night and day.

Until a somber day when the bridge had finally collapsed.
