Maximum Ride is a series of books that explains the adventure of Max and the gang trying to find the institute they were created. The book I have read is The Angel Experiment which is the first of the series. They were born ordinary kids, but at this institute they were injected with avian DNA. Jeb which was one of the white coats at the institute helped Max and a bunch of other kids excape. Later on he died or so they thought, really they had no idea. The institute found where these kids were living and they came and kidnapped Angel which is the youngest of the group.

After Angel is kidnapped the gang is out after her to find her. At first they leave Iggy and Gasman at there hideout to keep a look out and make sure they don't come back. They  have no idea where Angel is heading because she got on a helicopter and they couldn't keep up. They are flying blind up in the air trying to find the institute where they took her. Meanwhile Iggy and Gasman are back at home, and they make a bomb and attack the Erasers that were still climbing the mountain they were on. After they attack the Erasers they all come up the mountain and then they fly away, and try to find the rest of the gang.

They found Angel and they are still hiding from the Erasers and white coats that are following them. Max is told that she is chosen to save the world, and that it's all a test what they are doing to her. She doesn't believe them one bit. As they try to find the institute where they were made they are constantly running from danger that is following them. That is just a brief summary of the first book of the series. I have yet to read the rest of the books in the series.
