Batteries change!!!!

When you have a battery it is holding stored chemical energy. Wich we also call potential energy       ( not moving energy). When you use the battery, the potantial energy turns into electrical energy. Which is konetic energy ( moving energy ). The konetic energy goes through the wires to what ever your using, like for us we yoused a light bulb. When we connected it to the lightbulb the electrical energy turns into  light  and heat. when you charge a battery ( if it's chargable ), konetic energy goes through the wires that are in the wall and goes in the battery. Then the cycle starts all over again.
