Earthquakes:)
We learned that the P and S waves are waves that go through the earth, when there is an earthquake but the s wave does not go through the core. The P waves travel fast than the S waves. When there is loosely packed earth, the earthquake waves travel faster than when there is hard packed earth.
When P waves travel through the earth,nothing stops them, and they travel all the way through it.
