Water, Water,Everywhere

This past weekend we received a LOT of rain. The weather forecasters said that we received about 4 - 5 inches of rain! What problems do you think we will have because of this much rain?

What problems could you have if you get alot of rain?(Like 4-5 inches.) One problem you could have is that the water could mix with oils. This would be aproblem because the water would then become polluted so we could not drink it. Another problem someone could have is that their basement could flood. "Help me,help me" the water would not be able to percolate into the aquifer because the aquifer could be full, so the water would get into your basement where the aquifer is. The last problem you could have is that trees could falll in the road. When the water makes the ground soggy and wet a tree's roots are able to break free like a fly flying free from a venous flytrap. Those are the problems you could have when you get a ton of rain. venous

Well, the problem depends on how good the ground water soaks in the water. If the rain dosen't soak into the ground it could lead to basement floods and it could even drowned and up root plants. Luckily,if the rain dosn't soak into the ground, it finds its way to the street where it can drain into the street wells. Although if it drowns the plants, and they die, they could calaps on things, like houses , sheds and possibly fences. These are afew ways that too much rain could lead to problems.Hopefully it dosn't happen to you.

I think it could do alot of stuff.Like it could flood basments, it could nock down trees and the trees could hit cars, and houses. It was alot of dameg and it will cost alot of money to get it back.It probaly hert alot of people. It also probely left alot of people. That is what I think will hapin.

We received about 4-5 inches of rain and we are experiencing problems from the precipatation. If the aquifer gets too full, basements will get flooded. If the the water percolates too slowly, places will get flooded. If the water table is getting closer to the earth's surface, the aquifer might never dry up. So in conlusion, the rain is causing problems that infect the groundwater and places above the earth's surface.

Here is what I think is going to happen since we got so much rain. I think the water will percolate into the ground and flood the aquifers. And the water would have nowere to go so it would go into peoples basements, and flood backyards. And the cars will be strugling to get home since the streets will be flooded. If there were plants or flowers they would be pounded with rain to much, and to hard that they would probably die. And people could be busy and spending money since thier basements might of flooded. And so that is what I think is going to happen since all of the rain.

I think that some of the problems we may experience because of too much rain might be flooding. when water tries to percolate through the ground, the aquifer could be full. The rain water would then reach the water table. When this happens, the wwater has no where to go. When the water has no where to go, it could flow into people's houses and cause floods. That could get people's belongings wet. Also the water could go into streets. That would make it very difficult to drive. That could cause accidents and get people injured. So, when rain htis, we must be prepared for floods. Drive carefully . Now you know what dangers can occur from rain.

Since alot of rain came some bad things will happen if the Aqiufer fills up. The Aqiufer will probally fill up and floods will come to peoples basements. Alao, their backyards will get really damp and wet. They will get muddy and really yucky. We got so much rain that rivers, lakes, and streams will probally overflow and flood. Some houses electricity will go out. That is what I think will happen with the ainstorm

Since we have received so much rain this weekend, some of the rain water that fell will not be able to percolate, causing much damage. Usually, when rain comes, it percolates through the ground into an aquifer and only makes little puddles of mud. But since so much rain came, the aquifers will not be able to hold aaaalllll of the rain that fell. They have water tables, or points where the aquifer cannot hold any more water. The leftover water that the aquifers can't hold will form puddles-or in this case form floods. This is one of the dangers that a big storm can bring.Has you'r basement ever flooded? This is because of storms like the one that happened over the weekend. It can cause many accidents on the road, too. So after a big storm, you always have to be careful because of the dangers that it brings.

the proglems we will face because of getting this much rain is trees and their branches will fall over and block roads. Or they're going to fall on houses and brake the roofs. But thats not all the problems are, it can flood roads so cars could slip around and crash into eachother, which will really hurt somebody. Also people will be slipping and falling and banging into eachother.

I think the water will go underground in to the aquafur. An aquafur is were you get your water. If it fills to much then it floud the land. And maybe planets will deid from to much water. Thats all i have!

The problems we will have because of the rain will be streets flooding even more. Trees may fall and telephone poles might tilt. Aquafurs will over flow and houses, basements, and yards will flood. Rivers, lakes, streams, ponds, and creeks will over flow. And many people will loose thier homes from flash floods or any types of floods there are.

This week we had a lot of rain that caused a lot of problems for us. First of all, there were a lot of trees that were uprooted. Roads were closed and houses were damaged. Also the rain caused a lot of flooding. A lot of people couldn't leave their homes, but those who did got stuck on the roads. The rain caused a lot of problems for us.

I think some problems that might happen are mostly involing pulatution. Like how rain water is dirty and if we get to much rain it might puloute the ground water when it percolates. Also if the rain water doesn't percolate well (like in your yard) it could mix in with the mud and when it hits the aqufir the aquafir will only drain the mud a little and most of the ground water will be poluted.thats only some of the things that could happen when we get to much water.

Well I think the aquifer will have a surplus amount of water. But if it fills up the water won't percolate. Also if the water does percolate then the water might pick up mud and contaminate the water. Then people might drink it. If it doesn't percolate backyards might flood.

The prodlem we will have is this. The groundwater is so soggy that it will not hold trees from strong winds so they will just fall. Also the river will over flow so peoples houses will be flooded because it takes a long time for the river to go into the ocean.

I think that the water will percolate very slowly because we have had so much rain. Another problem is the flooding some people have. If you have a pond or lake nearby that can also overflow and flood your backward and house even more. And some people depend on their wells so that can be a problem too.

The snagers of wter is immense. It can damage a house. Also cars. When water percolates, it can only percolate so much water. The aquifer fills up so the extra water ontop flows into houses or streets, in houses, it floods basements. I the streets, it may caue acidents. Also it uproots trees, and they can come uprooted and fall into houses or streets. As you can see, there are many perils with rain storms.
