Romans in Scotland
Hello, I am a Roman foot soldier currently stationed in Gaul. Our goal is to control the territory now occupied by these foolish Caledonians. We hope to have all land by the next couple of years, as of now we wait.We are preparing for a slaughter of a local tribe. we have one legion going in to the village to try to compromise, if not, i only fear the worst for these primitive people.
We have just come back from a victory over the celts. The fight was not fair, they had no armour with only two simple weapons the broadsword and a sling. Our generals were correct with their fighting technique i was run up as fast as youcan and start swinging, sompared to our which was to keep a tight line shoulder to shoulder and start stabbing whoever comes close to slash or stab. This was very affective against them because with their slow broadsword we were much faster. We will start building on their land tommorow, and plan to make a treaty with another village to the north.
The treaty was a success, one citizen took a foot soldiers sword and ran him through he was quieted quickly, the citizen i almost felt bad for when he was surrounded and quickly stopped. Many of these happy caledonians were glad to be heading to a better life... i hope. A lot of the citizens the next day were getting some last collectables to prepare for the trip to Rome. I noticed some of these strange collectables, some were religious, jewelry, cloths, etc. I was only accustomed to my sword armour and food. Their faith in these objects intriged me.
As of right now we have no specific plans except for to get that other fort ready in the North. For now I will be staying in the baths and getting a massage. I wonder what Ceaser has planned next for us.
