The lion , the witch and , the wardrobe

In class we read the "Chronicles of Narnia : The Lion, The Witch , and the Wardrobe." The book has a lot of magic in it . The biggest magical thing of all is Narnia. The land of all kinds of magical creatures. Sentauars, , Giants and many more. The problem is the white witch has turn Narnia into winter all the time and there is never Christmas( That's just mean. Winter but no Christmas). She has also turn the people who disobey her commands into stone. It's up to Peter,Susan, Lucy and Edmund to save Narnia. There only hope was Aslan the real king of Narnia. The realism in this story is the time and place. The time period is in World War 2 , the blitz. The hardest challenge for them was trying to defeat the white witch and there journey to go to Aslan at the stone table.

There are many simalarities and differences like Edmund gets lost goes to the witches house to get more Turkish Delight the same thing happen's in the book. Also when they Susan ,Lucy , and Peter go to the Stone table they meet Santa Claus and he gives them the same gifts in the book. A bottle of medicne and a dagger for Lucy, bow and arrows for Susan, and a sword and shield for Peter. When Susan gets stuck in a tree and there are wolves surrounding her peter come and kills the wolf with his sword. There was also this time when Susan and Lucy sneak of in the night to follow Aslan. They the white witch and her companions killing Aslan.

Now we move on to the differences in the movie from the book.In the movie The beavers and the children are leaving for the stone table they get chased by wolves in th book they don't get chased. Also when Aslan dies he comes back to life because there was a deeper magic. When edmund gets to the white witch's castle. He finds the witch's throne, which he sits upon this doesn't happen in the book.

I like the book better because it has more details and gives more of a description about all the important events. The book has what the children were feeling.
