Cheated by Patrick Jones This is a short but very well written book about a fateful day for Mick, a high school student who gets mixed up with the wrong crowd. He feels cheated because of his father’s indiscretion and blames his own cheating on him.
Mick and his friends develop a pattern of getting drunk every weekend and when a homeless man is killed, Mick and his two friends get blamed. They are all responsible, but to what degree?
When they are all arrested, Mick is left with a life changing choice. Should he be loyal to his friends and not say anything or will “the truth set him free”?
