Hydrogen Energy

Hydrogen Energy

The type of energy I have chosen is HYDROGEN ENERGY. This energy is an abundant chemical found in earth’s resources. These renewable resources can be as simple as WATER. Hydrogen can also be made from Solar, Wind, Geothermal, and Fossil Fuels. Although hydrogen uses these resources most hydrogen energy and about half of world’s hydrogen energy is produced by Steam Reforming.

Positives:

This energy in the long run can help decrease the use of oil from foreign countries as well as greenhouse gas emissions. This energy is used to power cars and homes all over the U.S. Approximately 9 million metric tons of hydrogen are produced in the U.S. This amount can power 25-35 million cars or 5-8 million cars. Most of are energy is produced from Southern States and California. % of hydrogen is produced in the U.S.

Negatives:

The cost of producing this energy is very expensive.
