JOE FLOOD JOE FLOOD

Joe Flood is an alcoholic that has been sober for about 30 years. He talks to children of all ages about making good decisions in life. He talked to us about stories that will help us in life.

I thought it was cool because he was sort of like what I am. He said he was a hockey player making the Varsity team as a freshman and hanging out with older kids. I play hockey and will probably make the varsity team as a freshman. He talked about as we get older our liver gets use to alcohohol as we get older. Like aft5er like an ounce of alcohohol when you are a teenager you will pass out. He told us that if you get hooked on drugs early that means you have a lower chance of stopping when you might actually want to later on in life. He talked about getting hooked on stuff other than drugs. He said take a person that likes ice cream, no loves ice cream. Have them take one scoop of ice cream and not have another for an hour. 9 out of 10 people would have another scoop during that hour, and that one person that didn't, was probably thinking about the ice cream.

Joe Flood taught me a lot about drugs and to make good decisions in life. I hope I can remember all this important information.
