Grade 2 Classroom of Learners
We are learning about what all good learners do before, during, and after they learn. We hope to show you a progression of our learning as we journey.
Following Directions
We have been discussing how important it is to have our writing organized. We began with a mixed up recipe and discussed how it didn't make sense to bake something before we had even created it! This lead to writing directions as the beginning of our Organization Unit. In order for the students to understand we followed the directions of "How to make a pizza bagel". They then created their own directions for "Building a Snowman" which we used as a speaking opportunity as well.

About the Blogger
I have been teaching Gr. 2 at Prince Arthur going on seven years. For several years I've been trying portfolios. This year I am being adventurous and using a blog to create a digital portfolio for students to share with parents at interview time.
