Chalk Garden 1 In considering the two troubled children you have studied so far, Mary Tilford and Abigail Williams, what traits have they had in common and where do they stand apart? Examine briefly your own view of each of these girls. How do you react to each one of them--the same way? or differently? As we begin to look at another young girl, psychologically flawed in a number of ways because of familial situations, first consider the problems of the two we have already studied. What drives each--Mary and Abigail--to do what they do?
