A Christmas Carol 1 Everyone knows the basics of this story, though many have never read it. There have been so many movies and adaptations, incuding the newest 3D version that we all think we know it clearly. But Dickens wrote it to comment on his society at the time and because he loved Christmas and its spirit AND because he wanted to tell a good ghost story--and he may have told the best ever. Before we start, answer me this. What do you think you know about this tale? Answer three of the questions that follow as completely as you can.
1. How many ghosts visit Scrooge, who are they and what do they each look like?
2. Can you name two locations that at least one of the ghosts takes Scrooge to and briefly what he sees at each stop?
3. What lessons are being taught to Scrooge by at least two of the ghosts?
4. Who is Jacob Marley? What is he wearing over his clothes, why was he wearing this and what was his relationship to Scrooge?
5. Who is Tiny Tim? What ailment does he have? What is his relationship to Scrooge? What is his prognosis?
6. Scrooge has a sister and a nephew--who are they and how does he feel about each of them?
TRY AS BEST YOU CAN TO ANSWER PARTS OR ALL OF EACH OF THE THREE QUESTIONS YOU CHOOSE OR SHOW OFF A LITTLE AND ANSWER AS MANY AS YOU CAN.
